As part of National Recovery Month, and Pittsburgh’s Bicentennial celebration – Pittsburgh is holding its first ever citywide Recovery Walk downtown this year on Saturday, Sep. 10.
Featured speakers and guests include PA Drug & Alcohol Secretary Gary Tennis, Allegheny County D&A Director Dr. Latika Davis-Jones, Mayor Bill Peduto, City Council President Bruce Kraus, Dr. Peter Luongo, as well as local entertainer Billy Price. The walk has also received formal support and endorsement from Governor Tom Wolf!
The walk will start on Liberty Ave. and follow the route down to Market Square where there will be a “recovery expo” with activities, speakers, music, dancing, and entertainment, all in a celebration of the many roads to recovery from addiction.
